An unlikely hero on D-Day

There are probably not many more meaningful days in the history of mankind. We thank those that fought on D-Day for their sacrifices and we want them to know how much we cherish our Freedom.

Lord Lovat, Clan Fraser (the last Scottish Chieftain to service in combat) decides to buck regulation and allow his 'piper' along as they hit SWORD beach. This incident is memorialized in the movie "The Longest Day".
